Today I upgraded my mailbox quota, from 500MB to 2GB, since I was using up 97% of the old quota. However, now I can't receive ANY emails on my email account, and keep getting "Quota exceeded (mailbox for user is full)" errors.

Hello,

I recommend you log out of your email and log back in. This might help refresh this for you. When I look at your email from my end, I can see that the upgrades went through successfully.

Hi,
I've tried logging in and out. The problem isn't on the website ... it shows the updated quota. But actual emails are bouncing back with the "quota exceeded" error. The problem is specific to one email address: support@zaal-llc.com .... I also updated the bugreport@zaal-llc.com address, and that seems to work fine. I am just updating the quota back to 500MB to see if that helps.

Thanks. I did change it to 500MB and it doesn't seem to have an effect

Would there be any ETA on how soon this can be fixed? All my emails from customers are probably bouncing back at this point, since last night probably when I made the change to upgrade my mailbox. It's massively inconvenient, and will probably lead to a lot of dissatisfied potential customers.

Hello,

I was able to see the issue. There are two limits when it comes to storage. We have a certain size, 500MB by default. We also have a certain number, 10,000 by default.
You upgraded to the 2GB size, which can allow up to 20,000 emails. I can see in your inbox alone you have about 28,000 emails going back to 2009. The MB is below the limit, but the number of emails is not. If you need those emails saved, then you will need to upgrade to a higher number storage to get this mailbox working. The 5GB upgrade allows 50,000 emails for $2/month and the 10GB upgrade allows 100,000 emails for $3/month.

I wish this was more obvious when upgrading the tiers. I recently received an email that said my plan was for 30,000 emails. Maybe it was an old grandfathered plan (I've had this account for close to 10 years). But in any case, I wanted to upgrade the size, and it wasn't obvious that this would limit the 'email count' to *less* than what I had before.

I'm sorry if that was not clear to you. For future reference, we have an article here on Community that shows the different storage limitations.

The email storage upgrade didn't change the email count to less, it is possible that you had a glitch on your mailbox that was preventing our system from being able to count the emails. So, you were getting more storage without having to pay for it, but at this point, you'll need to upgrade to the proper storage to be able to receive new email.
