When is all this porno spam going to stop? I am so sick of it clogging up my email in both my accounts! What is going on?

HI Cathi0232

We've had many discussion around this but for the time being, we can't increase the restriction on the filter without blocking too many legitimate emails. We are still doing some work on our end but the incoming spam filter can' t be improved until all of the email accounts have converted over to out new platform. Since we have millions of account, this process is going to take several weeks, perhaps a couple months or longer. I'm sorry I don't have an immediate solution.

I hope your making changes that caused all this are not costing you millions of accounts leaving. I am considering it and I have been with Homestead for many years

And what is the problem here?

The problem is I am paying for email service. I think Homestead should be giving me credits/refund for the time that this has been going on. I would have to pay some other service to move my email address and they should be compensating me for that cost. This is ridiculous! Just put back whatever they took away since nothing needed to be changed to begin with!

I understand your frustration, but reverting back to the old system is what created all the email problems in the first place. The old servers where not reliable and our outgoing email spam filter was way too lenient which caused our some of our servers to get blacklisted affecting hundreds of customers.

We've already implemented some new servers and outgoing spam filters on the outgoing mail. The spam you are receiving now is due to a temporary filter that will be changed once our full email platform transition is completed.

We have discussed the option of increasing the level on the filter, but tests have proven to block too many legitimate emails. The current settings are allowing customers to receive legitimate emails which are critical.

If you do wish to discuss a refund feel free to give us a call as we handle these cases one at a time since every customer is affected differently.

Mike
