Hello,

Although I pointed my web address, universaldarwinism.net, at my Homestead website (universaldarwinism1.homestead.com), when I go to publish the site on Homestead, it asks me if I want to publish it to my other site, universalselection.com. How do I fix this?

Thanks!

Brad

Hello,

I do see both those domain names connected to that same website. You can change the site association for the .com.

Did you want both domains to pull up the website or just the .net?

The .com site is already complete, so all I need is the .net to connect to the Homestead site universaldarwinism1.homestead.com.

I changed the site association for the .net and connected it to universaldarwinism1.homestead.com. They both now are connected properly, you should see the individual sites in websites manager.

Thank you so much!

Any idea why my changes weren't saved on universaldarwinism1.homestead.com last week? I saved all my changes but never published them, then found that the website manager asked me to choose a design, or start over.

You are welcome and I apologize, I do not see any saved content on my end either. It may have timed out if you started working on it and hit save at the end of your session. I would recommend clicking save a couple minutes into the builder after selecting a design to make sure it is locked in.

It's no problem. I just rebuilt the site easily & only have one more question:

When adding an email-capture box, I ticked the Email box in settings & entered my email address (so visitors' info will be emailed to me automatically). But upon testing the site/capture box, it opens my Windows Email app to then send an email to me from there. Can't the data be sent automatically upon clicking Subscribe instead?

Thank you again!

Yes, it will capture the information when pressing subscribe. However, what is causing it to open the windows mail link and generate an email is an additional link that was added to the subscribe button. What you want to do is remove the link from the subscribe button. The mailing list is already set up to be sent to your email and store in your mailing list.
