I am having same problem, I hit the
Yes cancel my account but appears as if it is not working.
I am closing my account due to a sell out, and no longer need the account.
So is it closed, or what do I need to do??

Please confirm that my account is cancelled. It is frustrating to see that this is a consistent problem for users. It seems as if Homestead is trying to create a barrier to closing accounts.
