What is happening when you try. Are you using the file manager? Have you resized the images to make them smaller? What is the typical size of an image?

Do you know the size of the images? Today's cameras take images that are several megabytes each. This would take a huge long time to upload. Can you tell me what happens when you try to upload.

I must agree with Drew, 4000 ???? even if you did manage to upload I doubt very much that your webpages would load...640 x 457 is screen size what you need to find is size in MB. Right click on any image and look at properties from the drop down menu.
