Getting this message when testing connection: Send test email message: The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).  Changed password everywhere.  The outlook pop up is driving me nuts. Thanks

SMTP was disabled for your account as a great many spam reports were issued against info@optiksvisual.com.

If you sent a large mailing out from this address you will want to edit the mailing list to get rid of people that did not ask for your mail, or you will be flagged again.

If you did not send a large amount of mail, then scan your computers that check email with a current security program. Please run a full system scan. Then change your password to a brand new one, never used. Once done, let me know and I will enable SMTP service.

Thanks. Already changed the password. Please enable SMTP as my other domains are not sending.

I looked closer and see that your email address password was automatically changed several times in the last 2 weeks due to excessive spam reports. Warning messages were sent to joaquinlopez71@gmail.com. This is why sending mail was suspended this time.

I am going to enable it again but with the warning that if mail continues to be sent in this manner we will likely not enable it again. If you need to send bulk emails then you will want to make use of a program designed for this, like Constant Contact and maintain a current list of recipients that have asked you to send email. It is not Homestead rules that caused this to happen. The people you are emailing are reporting you as spam. This is bad for you and our servers.

Look. I just checked the emails received as mail delivery failures and the orginal emails supposedly sent aren't definitely from us. They are something about models and we are an eye clinic.  They weren't definitely from us. I don't need to, nor will send bulk emails in the near future.  I understand the warning but the implication that we are sending those emails is totally wrong and is an assumption. I'm paying this service for this and my other businesses, having an smtp disabled is not an option for us, especially since we are not the ones sending the emails.

They were sent using your credentials for the info address. If you didn't send them, then that is good, but it does mean that either someone is continuing to get your credentials and you may have some spyware, or you are using the same password each time. Either way you may want to try another security program to see if you find anything, and/or use a brand new complicated password.
