Once I have created an anchor link, how do I link to that point on my page?

I created a link to an item at the end of a long page. At the top of the page, I inserted a text box with a name, highlighted the name and linked it to the Anchor link for the item near the end of the page. When I publish the page, the text at the top is no longer seen, though if I click on the area where I put it, I will go to the anchor at the bottom.

Just a thought, if your clicked-on link color is the same as the background and you have clicked on the link it won't show.

Yes, that is the problem.  But how do I change the font color on a link. Originally I had the text font color as Black, but tried changing it to Blue, but the text still appears as the background color.  This is also the problem with my Return to top link.  I cannot find a place to change the text font color on a link.  Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction!

Click on Page Settings > Background, Links, Footer   you can change the link color under the Links Style section.
