not receiving emails

not receiving emails- a few get in sporadically. I only got one on Saturday and I usually get 50 - 200 a day

I changed passwords everywhere, turned off computer etc
It seemed to get better and I got some on Friday, but not the back ones.

Homestead shows the last emails received at all was Wednesday

Seems mostly to be with Hilary@thechocolatechick.com

MY email is my business' lifeline, I need this addressed ASAP

Hello,

I checked the domain and email and everything is set up how it is supposed to be on our end. I did check a tool on my end that shows all emails in and out of the server and I am seeing emails from today and yesterday and every day since Wednesday.

I know you mentioned you changed passwords everywhere. Did you specifically change your email password? What I think may be happening is that those emails are being pulled into an email client that you may not be checking. Changing the email password would sever that connection.

the problem was BEFORE I changed the passwords
When you ask about email - do you mean in Homestead or in Outlook? I matched them when I changed. But I will try again

From OUtlook, I get a message that all is good and 2 test emails go though but not the third which is from Hilary@thechocoltrchick.com
None are showing up in Homestead mailbox directly either

Info seems to work
Hilary does not
I dont; see anything since Wednesday on Homestead direct

I also do not see any emails after Wednesday in Roundcube, but in a tool I have, I can see emails every day since that was successfully received. This is what makes me think these emails are being pulled by a pop account in an email client. Changing the password through Homestead would stop that from happening.

You cannot actually change the email password through Outlook, so I am referring to changing the password through the email tab in your Homestead account, as the article I posted instructs. For this purpose, you'll want to change your password through Homestead and test in our webmail program, Roundcube, whether you are receiving email or not. Once you have started receiving email through Roundcube, you can re-setup your emails through an email client like Outlook.

I did that the other day, but I will do again- I changed in Homestead/roundcube and then changed it to match in outlook. I will do it again. It is not getting from what you see into Homestead/roundcube on my end from my view

Ok, I just discovered what is causing this. You added a filter, probably on Wednesday but I don't have a way to check that, called "Mr. Watt Townsend". You set this filter to discard all messages. So, all emails coming in to our server are being told to be discarded. I would edit this filter to do whatever the original purpose of the filter was, because this is causing your issue.

I went to compose an email and a spam email was being created in my name.... a .ru type thing......obviously not me..so I was hacked before and changing my password stopped it

My "identity" was changed
I erased it- perhaps my account was blocked internally now?

Yes, unfortunately all emails since Wednesday were discarded, so those cannot be recovered.
This is a filter that was set within Roundcube, so it wouldn't have to do with the email spoofing you were mentioning. The email account is not blocked internally. You just have to go fix that filter to start receiving email.

I think I found it- how do I make sure they are not being erased. I deleted the filter

If you deleted the filter, that will fix that issue. You can test sending an email to yourself.

Unfortunately no. They were discarded as soon as they hit our server, so they weren't around long enough for us to archive them.
