I use my site mainly to publish files to my forum on Delphi. It has been awhile, so I am in here to dust the furniture (so to speak) My music files will not play. When I try to preview them, I get pages of symbols and numbers and then it crashed IE. No matter how many times I attempt this,it's the same result. I created a new folder and uploaded the same files and got the same result. The file extensions are all listed on the HTML5 notice I get when I open my file manager. Help please.

I do not see any pages in your editor. Did you remove anything?

Hello Drew -- I don't have pages. I have file storage and no need or desire to build a site. If I was starting from scratch, I would have found a different place to store/publish my files. I was brand new to building a start page, message board and HTML. People who knew more than I did recommended Homestead. Now Homestead has moved way beyond what I want or need, but as I said in my first reply, I have thousands of message, templates for the start page etc. and it would be a daunting task to revise all of the code. I simply want to know why this is no longer possible to do this after I have been paying for a premium account for many years.

The sound files all appear to be published on our site. I am not familiar with Delphi. When you point the player or HTML to your storage with us, what url are you entering?

It should be working. The files are available online.

I'm on my way out the door, so I quickly scanned all of my templates and this is for when I had a midi file playing in the background of the start page. I will look further into it later if this doesn't help. Can you access my files so I can give you an example?

I believe I may see it now. If you go to http://suzare.homestead.com/files/midi/flyingfree.mid the music is available. It will try to launch a media player on your PC. I believe the problem here is to play online, midi files require a browser plugin. Unfortunately, the browsers have discontinued support for plug ins. You could convert the midi files to mp4 and use HTML5 to call them. This option does not require a browser plug in.
