nobody can login to their sites at this time. homesteads definition of "slow" means never. I don't know why they waste our time when its not possible to log in....completely ridiculous!!!

Hi Russ3073,

I am very sorry for the issue, but it is only a small group of people, like yourself who have very large accounts. I am attempting to get an update.

How about this scenario, For months now homestead has been telling us that sitebuilder plus is the best operating system or (software) and we are all encouraged to change over. With windows 8 or windows 8.1, sitebuilder desktop (or the original version) will not work. This problem we have today is we can log on to SiteBuilderPlus with no problem. The answer I am expecting is, we cannot fix the problem so the only version that will work will be SitebuilderPlus. I will take bets on this.

Drew,

Aha! You are correct! I maintain a small account for a client and I can actually log into Site Builder for that account. I realize you're trying hard to figure out the problem on the large accounts and we wait patiently to hear the solution. I worked in software development for over 30 years and certainly understand the predicament that you're in. Good luck!

Regarding SiteBuilder Plus, I haven't yet been able to get past that "Starting Up!" message.

On the large or smaller account? On larger accounts we are unfortunately having the problem with both builders.

Les6064,

We do indeed encourage people to change over to Plus, but have no intention of requiring it at this time. We will find and fix the issue. If you haven't tried you should be able to launch desktop from within your Homestead account. You just have to sign in with Internet Explorer 8,9, or 10. This has been working for several people.

Bob1777,

Glad to hear you can get in the smaller account. I hope to see all accounts working as soon as possible.

I have been unable to start Sitebuilder Desktop since Thursday about 5:pm EST. I have a large account.

Perhaps it would be positive customer service if Homestead posted "Known Outages and Problems" at the top of this support page? Just tossing out that idea.

Can't open SiteBuilder Plus either -- I do have a large account I guess.  it was also excruciatingly slow the past few days.
