Hi kevin0312,

I apologize for the delay in response - With The SimpeStore, the initial address needs to be a US Based address to move forward in the checkout process. Once on the next screen, the visitor can enter their shipping and billing information no matter what country they're located in.

I understand this isn't the best customer experience for your customers, unfortunately there is no way around this.

I would suggest looking into using our Storefront which will allow anyone to checkout regardless of where they're located. The other option would be to add a note to your site stating that the initial address has to be a US address, and then can be changed on the following page(s) during the checkout process.

I hope this helps, clarify.

Along the same vein. I just added traffic booster to my account and it doesn't accept Canadian Provinces or Postal Codes when I try to set it up.

This is a great conversation that's separate from the main topic, so I created a new topic to continue the discussion. Please reference the new topic here: Traffic Booster not available for Canada.

This issue is a huge deal and needs to be fixed. You are limiting us to selling to only 1 country when we could be selling worldwide.

Sorry for the frustration this is causing those of you which intend to sell outside of the U.S. We are aware that this is a major concern for many of you and we are currently in the process of making some significant changes to the SimpleStore application. Many of our customers have requested that we integrate a more sophisticated option for calculating shipping charges and taxes. As an interim step we have added that function, but as of now it only allows for U.S. addresses.

If your business is crippled because of this, then please give us a call to discuss weather or not a Storefront would be a better hosting plan vs. the SimpleStore as it has more capabilities.
