I have not received emails since 9/30/14. Now I know someone said yesterday it will take 24-48 hours.  However, I am paying for a service I am not be provided.  This is the email message that keeps coming back and it is getting quite frustrating (losing money and clients) since I have referred several people to you - This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 24 hours on the queue on bosmailscan07.eigbox.net.  The message identifier is:    1XdhQh-0003FG-ML The date of the message is:    Mon, 13 Oct 2014 08:20:57 -0700 The subject of the message is: dfa  The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:    stephanie@iamwhoiammd.com  No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up, and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.

You will definitely want to log into the email account using the web client and make sure your quota is not full.

Also, that message you posted is a bit confusing. Are you trying to email yourself?  If you have any bounce messages from sending to an outside email address please post those instead.

We are having the same issue with our e-mails.  We keep attempting to send them but they become lost.  I know they are not being delivered and like wise, I'm not receiving anything.  I have an IMAP account and am trying to move some e-mails from my inbox and sent folder onto my hard drive but can't because it says there is a conflict with the server.  What is happening ?!?!?!?!?!

Hi Frank4969 ,   It sounds like you may have couple different issues.

First, if you are having trouble sending, let us know if you are getting any error messages, if it's to a unique recipient or everyone, and when this started?

Next since you stated you are using an IMAP configuration, you should know that IMAP account actually store all the emails on the server and don't actually download them to your pc.   If you were to configure a pop account instead of IMAP, then the emails would be pulled off the server and stored on your computer.  So, there are pros and cons to each configuration.  If you check your email from multiple locations, you probably want to keep the IMAP configuration.

If you are adamant about storing backup copies on your computer, you can reconfigure it with POP setttings.  Before you do this, you may want to check your email client to make sure it has a setting that will "leave a copy on the server", so that the messages are still viewable when using other devices.

Any idea when the email system will be fixed? I can't receive or send from my outlook and I can't even log into my homestead email. This is costing me money as I have know idea if I need to respond to someone or not.

HI Dana1663,   Sorry I don't have a way of confirming a time where everything will return to normal. DDoS attacks are rather complicated. I'll post updates to the following page when I have more information:  October 14, 2014 - Email performance issues.

This has got to be the umpteenth time this has happened and our business has suffered.  I give up.  Already made the decision.  Making the switch over.

Frank4969,   Sorry to see you go.   I realize this is frustrating for all of you. I can assure you that our team is doing everything possible.  DDoS attacks can be very hard to stop for any organization. If you are not familiar with what a DDoS attack is, here are a couple good sites that explain how they work and why they are hard to stop.

I'll continue to post updates on our Update page as information becomes available.

Still having trouble with my email. Not receiving and emails sent aren't received. No error messages, just angry clients.

I see you have a couple different email addresses and domains. Which one is the problem with?  Also how are you checking/sending email?   With the web client or a 3rd party application?

The one I am having problems with is customerservice@largestlashes.com. I check it on Outlook and my iPad.

Hi Leslee5222,  I just checked that account and there are quite a few new emails in the inbox.  You may nave to check the configuration of Outlook and your iPad to make sure it's connecting correctly.  If you go to emai.homestead.com and log into the email account, you'll see the emails in the system.

Thank you. I looked and all the ones on the server came through just fine. That's why it's so frustrating. The ones that don't come through are hit and miss. I never know when it's happening until a message does come through and it's an angry one because I haven't answered a message I didn't receive. Or I did answer it, but they never received it.

We understand how frustrating it can be and are doing everything we can to ensure that are mail servers run smoothly, but recently some of these issues are occurring outside of our systems and for one reason or another, the message never reaches our servers and we don't know that it exists.  If it reaches our server, it should be delivered to your inbox.

Thanks

Drew
