I added some pages  and changed my navigation bar. When I uploaded the entire site the old navigation bar was still there. Even after re-uploading the old navigation bar is still there rather than the updated navigation bar. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Thank you!

Have you tried a "refresh" (Shft/Ctrl/Delete). Using this procedure intermittently provides solutions to cache and cookie related interference.

F5 = Refresh: A browser works by downloading a page to your computer.  Browsers will then show the page from your computer as opposed to downloading it every time you visit a page. This speeds up the process and lessens the traffic on the Internet. Depending on the browser, it will periodically check the website for a new version of the page and download if it has changed. If you don't see a change that you expect, then press f5. That tells the browser to go to the site and download the page now

All the other changes to the site updated. The only thing that did not update was the main navigation bar.

To make changes to the site navigation menu, you use the click the menu and select link from the site that you want to change. Scroll to the bottom of the of the setting menu and select edit link. The link box will pop up and select browse. Enter the file name in the website files and select OK. Save and Publish.

Hi Andrew2399,

Which site are you working on and what should I see in the navigation?

Thanks

Drew

Hi Drew, I am working on www.petassistpetsitting.com. On the top navigation bar where the far right button is presently showing the word "links" it should be showing "Franchise" instead.

Thanks!

Do you use the online Sitebuilder or the desktop version?  In the online version, the menu still says links.  Can you go into the File manager and see if any files show a status of Publish?

Thanks

Drew

I just went onto the online sitebuilder and was able to change the navigation bar and make the change stick there. It would not change using the sitebuilder program that I downloaded onto my computer.  However now that I have changed the site using the online sitebuilder won't that put it in conflict with the version that's in the sitebiuilder program on my computer? How do I bring them back into sync? Thank you for your help!

When you launch the desktop version, it should notify you that the local and published versions are different.  You will want to download the published versions of the files.  If for some reason it doesn't ask, you may nee to do a clean installation of the desktop version, or use the online version.

Thanks

Drew
