National Camera Day is recognized on June 29th of each year.

This day celebrates cameras and how photography has evolved over time! Some of the earlier cameras were big, bulky, and very expensive. Owning them was a luxury. Over time and with modern technology, cameras have gotten smaller- some smaller than a pen! We have cameras on things like drones and satellites capturing images that would have never been possible 50 years ago.

Images are SO powerful, making the camera an essential tool to have. Luckily, these days, most of us have a powerful camera right in our pockets- on our phone.

Whether you use your phone's camera or you actually know what lens to use on a digital or film camera, celebrate this day by snapping a picture! Post photos on social media using #NationalCameraDay and #Homestead

Wow! I just looked up pictures (which I am sure doesn't even do it justice) and it looks amazing. The property, collection of cameras, and the photography I was able to see was beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

Elyzabeth, Your welcome. I chose to visit during the month of Juneat mid day, when the light of nature was, and is quite bright in Lacock abbey, England.  My paternal antecedent was D'r Hugh Welch Diamond, whom invented the flexible portrait, a technique distinct from the rigid surface - not bendable - photograph picture process.
