This is UNACCEPTABLE.  For days now (actually off and on for weeks), my websites are intermittently loading really slowly.  Sometimes, it takes 20 seconds for my customers to get our websites to load...and sometimes their computers simply time out.  This MUST BE FIXED NOW!  I've tried to be patient, but we are losing people right and left!

I have had this issue now for over a week, I've contacted homestead several times and they keep saying everything is fine. ITS NOT FINE! Well it can be fine for a few minutes, then its almost grinds to halt, my staff and customers have highlighted the issue in the past week and the issue continues, I spent over half an hour talking to an agent today explaining the intermittent nature of the problem, I asked that he do his best to get the advanced team to look into it and email me back. This is the response I got word for word
" It's a very large site. It will take time to load. It seems to work normally once loaded."
What a joke, I've had my site for over 5 years and work on it daily adding new products etc, I think I would be aware already if intermittently pages where taking over 40 seconds to display and often just timing out.
PLEASE GET THIS SORTED HOMESTEAD!

Debbie, post a link and I will check it out. I have had no complaints and mine all seem to load fast. Even the real "heavy" ones....

Martin - here are links to 2 of my websites:  http://www.faithplace.org/  and http://www.squadronofsisters.com/    Sometimes they load quickly.  Sometimes, they spin for 10 to 20 seconds before loading.  Sigh.  I am SOOOOO frustrated!

Martin, you don't seem to get the nature of the problem, its really frustrating! Its intermittent, as in one minute the pages can load fine, but then as everything seems fine, there is big delay in communicating with the server, as Debbie mentioned the page in question which normally loads in max a few seconds just stalls waiting for the server, after aprox 30 - 40 seconds the page will render, however, some occasions it just times out, then the server behaves normal again for a few minutes until it happens again. I have an eCommerce site and this sort of performance is making customers run a mile. PLEASE investigate this properly and stop telling people their websites are too big and to clear the cookies! This is a real issue - TREAT IT LIKE ONE.

Exactly my issues!  I would switch to a whole different service and dump Homestead in a minute except that I've spent tons of hours building several extensive websites on Homestead.  To switch over to a new company and start from scratch is overwhelming.  Why can't Homestead fix this problem!!!  Grrrr!

You do understand I don't work for Homestead? I just wanted to see what the results were here at my place. Thanks

The format of this forum really sucks, I understand. With that being said, care to post a link so I can see how long it takes to load?

Thanks Martin, www.amorame.com Bare in mind the page may load normally, however, as mentioned the issue is intermittent, so you ́ll likely come across an issue as you navigate around the site. Thanks

Lourdes....WOW O WOW. Just FYI  checked my download speed here (COX) and got a 29.6 M down speed.

Your homepage downloaded in less than 2.5 seconds. I hit every tab on your navigation bar, same results. Super fast, you should be able to look at your stats and see how fast. Should show up as Cox in Guthrie Oklahoma.

Thanks Martin, I appreciate that. Still though, after a while it hits a snag where you can clearly see its struggling to communicate with the server. Thanks mate.

I don't doubt you one bit. The last few months have cost me who knows how much money due to the incompentcy at Homestead. Sometimes I wish they would crash and burn so I would be forced to move....

I wish there was a way to get actual Homestead tech people to respond to this!  I'm soooo tired of calling them and waiting on hold for 20 minutes and then going over the same doggone problems day after day!!!  I'm losing customers!  My sites just spin and spin without loading....and Sitebuilder is having major issues as well!

Test this site for me, it is really heavy, be sure and make sure it loads all the way.

to complete aprox 8 seconds on a 1mb connection if you compressed your images I would imagine less than half of that.
