My site cannot be accessed, either.  It was working about an hour ago.

Is it just my imagination, or is this problem happening more frequently than it use to?

My site is working again, but I would still like to know if this is happening more frequently than it use to.

Not your imagination George. I have a program (SiteUptime.com) ping my sites every 5 minutes. I get an email notification when the sites go down. Have been getting a LOT of these emails over the last few weeks. Outages happen throughout the year where they will go down for a minute or two, which I can handle. Now it is both the frequency and length of the outages that has increased. This last one today was 44 minutes and was over 3 hours on Thursday.

Thanks, Dave. That's very interesting.  Perhaps the servers they are currently using are not as reliable as before.  It's really disturbing because when it goes down, you potentially lose money, and it can have a negative impact on your search engine ranking, too.

Hi everyone,

There was a period this morning when sites were down. We do sincerely apologize. While this issue was not directly related to the migration, it was a DNS failure in the old data center. When this is completed, DNS will be served completely from the new center and will be more reliable.

Drew
