my homestead email frequently lands in the recipient's junk mail.  Unfortunately it has no pattern as to when and why but it is increasingly happening more frequently.  My clients and future clients then feel i have not responded forcing me to follow up with phone calls to have them check their junk mail.  How can this be avoided and why is it happening the last 6 months only

If the emails are delivering to a Spam or Junk folder, what we have to recommend is that you ask the person you are delivering to, to add your email address as a contact inside of the recipient's email contact list or add your domain name to a whitelist. This will begin helping ensure that your emails will not be sent to the Junk or Spam folder, but instead properly to the inbox folder.

unfortunately this is not always possible as we receive email requests from new potential clients all the time and they do not leave a phone number - just email.  So we cannot ask them to add in advance.  This has only started about 6 months ago

There are a few things to help with your domain's reputation. Offer an option for your reads to opt out or to unsubscribe. Also, be sure to audit your current list contacts and ensure the persons you are emailing to do want receive your emails and that no one is marking you as spam with their email client.

again unfortunately this is not where i believe the issue lies.  An outside client can email me directly (not having emailed by me before) as in they found our service and emailed me and when i reply it goes into their junk.  Or if i take an email down and then send a brand new email to this person in regular outlook it goes into their junk.  This has nothing to do with current list contacts etc or mass email marketing

Do you use Webmail to send? Can you provide the date/time of a sent mail that was delivered to junk? I can look a little, but please understand that the act of delivering it to the spam folder is on the recipient's end. For some reason your messages are being flagged on their end. I can do some looking, but ultimately the recipient may have to inquire of their mail service to find out what their issue is.
