When logging on to my email, I get a message saying that the connection is not secure and that logins could be compromised. Is there a way to make it secure?  IT IS REALLY SCARY THAT MY BUSINESS EMAIL IS NOT SECURE!!

Hello Sheri, This warning is becoming  more prevalent in browsers lately, I believe, in response to Googles drive to get all websites HTTPS acclaimed,( as this forum is) something that, unless you are taking financial details directly from a website, is not necessary. I would not worry unduly, I bank with one of the top four banks in the UK and even their website pops up this warning. I am aware that Homestead are monitoring the situation and if they feel not having HTTPS adversely affects its customers, they will make the necessary changes. That's my opinion but please wait for one of the tech guys to respond as well. They will be in here Wednesday morning.

Thank you Brian. It is scary to me because there is financial content through my email.  I often receive payment through e-transfers.  And then I don't know if it puts my customers in jeopardy as well as myself.

When you see the https, you are in a secure login. Unfortunately, at this time Homestead email is not encrypted when sent. That is probably what is being reported. As Brian said, there has been no change on our end. This is strictly browser driven and in many cases a little misleading about the vulnerability.

ok, so I need to open the email account from the homestead website but not through RoundCube directly, is that correct?  Because Roundcube doesn't have the https, It's a little confusing to me.

I had not noticed that. I will look into it, but if you log in from within your Homestead account or via the web mail button do you see the https?

You can also insert the s after http: into the link.

Yes, through homestead there is the https,  Can I just add the 's' into the address and have that make it secure?

You should be able to do so yes. I did it using Chrome and the message changed.

Not sure how that works, but now the warning does not come up.  Thank you
