Mobile Device View vs Desktop View

Hey Homestead Community! I have a question about how our sites show up on phones--for one of mine, www.garnethouseproductions.com, it basically shows up like a desktop site. Which I like. For my others, including www.johnparkspercussion.com, it shows up in the mobile mode (which is less desirable). Is there a way to have the site views on mobile devices default to desktop? THANK YOU!

Hello,

Under settings in the mobile view, there is an option to switch to desktop view. I highly recommend against using this, though. Not having a mobile responsive site creates a bad experience for your site visitors as it is more difficult to navigate a desktop site on a mobile device. Also, it will negatively impact your SEO.

Hey Elyzabeth,

Thank you so much for your time and expertise!  Interestingly I've received more negative feedback for the way it appears on mobile devices (even after trying to format it as clearly as possible).  I might try it for a week and see what people think.  But thank you!  JP

Hey Elyzabeth!  Thanks for the "like!"

I'll tell you this--I love the way the templates look and work.  Thank you and the Homestead team for all of your great work!  I've built several sites for colleagues at FSU through Homestead and they're so happy with them as well.  Have a great weekend!  JP

I am having the same issue with desktop vs mobile.  Can't view the "desktop version" on my phone at all, no matter what I click, and the SiteBuilder comes up with a very scrambled version when I click on "mobile site"!  I don't want to have to rebuild it all over again just for mobile!  This is ridiculous, and very frustrating as so many people access websites on their mobile phones now!
Tried to talk to the techs at Homestead, and the last person I talked to said "we are not allowed to assist you with this, can only answer general questions!"  ACK!!!!!!!!!  I LOVED the old Sitebuilder, as it was so simple to use!

Hello,

I understand that the new builder will take some time to get used to if you were familiar with the older builder, but Sitebuilder Plus couldn't be mobile friendly and we couldn't secure those sites. Website Builder is the better program. For help editing the mobile site, refer to this article:
