Hi there, I need to add a CNAME and TXT to my DNS settings for Mailchimp (so I"ll stop my newsletters from going to spam). When I go into DNS settings, I put the info in from Mailchimp as they request - it's a copy/paste scenario - but the CNAME section labeled "host" won't take the domain key I'm inputting. It's in red in the image.

Any thoughts? I'm no expert and trying to do this on my own, so I don't know a lot.... I do not want to mess up my DNS settings so I'm wondering if I need a Mailchimp expert or someone who is more familiar with this part of the backend than I am to help.

Thank you in advance :)

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello Anne,

The reason the cname is being rejected is due to the _ that is present in this host name. Unfortunately, this special character is not able to be applied to Homesteads DNS settings but it can be used in Cloudflare. If you set up your domain in cloudflare it will pull all your current DNS settings and will allow you to add this cname to the DNS.
