Some of us have products to sell, with pictures of those products. It would be wonderful to have the ability to mouse-over a pic and see a larger image. This is vitally important for some of us.

Hi Blossom,

Thanks for the feedback! There is a magnifying mouse-over within the SimpleStore. After you click on a product and go to it's description page, if you hover over your product image you will see it zoom in. Is there a different area you would also like to see the zoom feature?

Thanks,

Chris

Yes, thank you, Chris, but I've seen the one on the SimpleStore page. I would like to use this sort of html or + to magnify each product on its page so people can see it there, instead of needing to go to the store. I want them to be able to see the detail better, plus I'd like them to be able to read the words inside each card from that page, rather than needing to go back and forth to the SimpleStore.
Thanks,
Blossom

I also want this feature, Chris. When would this be available. There is free java script available, but your website does not allow .js file to be incorporated.

Hello Chris. I have included a sample weblink which magnifies the product. We have a bead and jewelry store and would like a similar feature

Chris: Thanks for putting this under consideration. I have a bead store and want my customers to be able to zoom-in. -- similar to this website

http://sonoor.com/product.asp?product...

I found free java script that will do this but I do not know how to incorporate in your website. A plug-in feature would life easier for all of us. Thanks again

Hi Hari,

Do you have the website that offered the java script? I'd be more than happy to test it out and see if I can get it to work.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi,

Thanks to everyone who has posted in the thread. All feedback is being passed to our product and development team. Unfortunately there isn't an ETA on this kind of functionality, but as soon as I hear back, I'll update everyone.

Thanks!

Chris

Mouse over to enlarge is a much needed feature for an artist. Please DO add this. Folks gig tired of clicking and just move on. Thanks.

To everyone who commented on this topic, I've come up with a decent way around the problem. I've used the Insert > Photo Gallery but on one of my pages, I only put one pic in each gallery. In this way, I can get a good magnifier plus put an individual write-up beside each product. The problem with photo gallery is that your customer cannot click on the pic to buy the item. So I put a Buy Button beside it for the customer to click on. If you'd like to see two examples of how I did this, please visit the two pages below. One page uses one pic in each gallery, and the other uses several pics in each gallery, with a button above each pic for buyers to click on.

Hi Tony, at this time the zoom feature is available within the Storefront, and has been improved in the Simplestore for highlighting products. I don't have any information on making this a general feature within Sitebuilder Plus.

You might want to read the previous post. They found a pretty good solution.

Thanks

Almost all of the changes, and new features we release are at the request of customers so pretty much any idea thread you see on this community site is under consideration. In comparision with other topics there really aren't that many requests for this feature so it's not likely to happen any time soon. If this is a feature you really need then your best bet is to write code, or find some 3rd party code to give you the functionality you need.

Hello---it will be nice to reconsider including the zoom in feature. Any business adding pictures will like for the customer visiting their website to get a good view of their product. Also, I attempted to include the "mouse-over" function with hopes of this feature giving me the zoom in effect----can you please explain how mouse over function is used and how to include a picture with mouse over?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Mouseover zoom effects are generally done with java script. There are dozens of different affects that can be accomplished. I don't have a specific one that I can recommend, but if you just to a Google search for "mouseover zoom effects" you'll find dozens of sites with examples and it's likely you can find some free code that you can embed in your site.
