Locked out /flagged as having SPAM like emails/credentials compromised

My email password does not work to get emails. I received an email suspecting me of SPAM (wasn't me sending spam) and they said to secure the acct they've reset the mailbox password and to use Mail Central Tool to set a new one. I logged into Homestead and went under edit email and it will not let me change the email stating error code 702 issue updating mailbox. I need to get into my acct and they have no after hours live support.

I was able to clear up the 702 error message. You should be able to update your password with no problem now. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

So I was able to change the password on the homestead website but for some reason even though I’ve changed the password in my settings on my iPhone, it is not connecting. Can you tell me more about this spam compromise?
