Links no longer lead to my site. For example if you try to go to my site through Google it says "This site can’t be reached"
The site I'm working on is: thelittleplantshopct.com
The strange thing is that if I type the address into the url bar in the browser the site comes up with no problem.
I need this resolved ASAP

I too can see your site.  Perhaps the link is no longer active at the newspaper.  They disable them after a time. They are the only ones with control of that. Perhaps give them a call?

I don't know what to tell you, since the link worked and your site is live.  Sorry I am not more helpful.

The problem seems to be that when my site comes up on search engines the URL includes https://
The URL that DOES work starts with http:// with no S

You may have answered your own question. Add the "s" to http.

Here's a link to help you do it if you're using sitebuilder plus.
https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/can-i-secure-my-homestead-website-with-https
Be sure to follow the directions exactly or you'll create other problems. It's a fairly easy process that should take less than an hour.

If you're using desktop sitebuilder you need to switch to sitebuilder plus immediately as desktop users have reported numerous problems with solutions that only last a matter of weeks but usually only days.

If you're using the newer website builder you should contact homestead ASAP as sites built with that software should automatically be https compliant.

I also looked at the link in the newspaper site. It does have https in the url. I've also heard that Google might start requiring https for inclusion in search results. I know that they announced a while ago that https was preferred but not necessarily required. But who knows? They could be implementing the https requirement into the latest algorithm update.

Thanks! I believe I'm using Website Builder... This is what it looks like:
What is the best way to get in contact with Homestead?

Looks like websitebuilder to me. Michelle C should be here fairly soon to respond to your question and/or help. She's on Arizona time and works for homestead. Or you can call 1-800-710-1998 or 1-800-986-0958. Phones should be working now.

Thanks for the help. This has been resolved.
The site wasn't secure. Support went in and edited the DNS to manually secure the site.

Hello,

I do see both links working as well. If the google search result was including the HTTPS:// link and the site wasn't secured it would of been a dead link. I do see the site is now secured, glad you were able to get this figured out and thanks so much the help themieleman, Lynn and Steve! You guys rock!

Glad to hear it.

Now I realize that I'm probably the 50th person to say it but because you've moved to a bigger location shouldn't the name be The Li'l Bit Bigger Plant Shop?

Have a great day and good luck with your new location.
