I created a site for someone I know within my account using Website Builder.
After nearly 2 years he has decided to set up a Wordpress website through someone else but I've been asked if he can keep his domain and hosting with me. Is this even possible?

Hello,

We have a domain only plan, which is $14.99/year, but they would need to create their own Homestead account and we would need to move the domain to their account. Otherwise, you can just keep their domain on your account and charge them the $24/year that this domain costs you.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Elyzabeth.
So, If I keep the domain with my account, what needs to be done to have the domain take visitors to the new Wordpress site?

Thanks, but what information will I be asking them for if they opt for the latter?
Sorry to appear dim. This isn't something I have experience of. What will I need from them to arrange pointing, and what do I then do with the information?

You would be asking them to provide the Wordpress nameservers, which you would input under "Edit your Nameservers" in your Domain tab.

Ah, thank you.
One final question... Alternatively, if I just cancel the domain will it automatically become available for them to use with a different host?

No, it wouldn't. You would need to go through the process of transferring the domain.
