I have used Homestead since the 90s...but I am really disappointed that the interface still offers the same dated- and now totally unusable- elements and layout options.
1. It doesn't support the floating backgrounds that are current now.
2. It doesn't support the high real estate "square space" layout that is currently expected.
3. There are STILL issues that have been a problem for 15 years - like images and text placed in sitebuilder consistently display differently when published.
4. It doesn't even support .png files on the desktop program!
5. You have to use both the online AND the desktop program to get what you need as the two are not integrated!

I really enjoy the low maintenance option that homestead provides....but at this point it is not useable for the reasons I mentioned. Are there any plans to address this? I do not want to have to go to a different and less convenient platform, but with wix and wordpress becoming more user friendly every day it doesn't make much sense not to.

Help?

Have you tried the new Homestead Website Builder?

You can create a new website with the new Websitebuilder that themieleman mentioned. Sitebuilder Plus was intended to be a replacement for desktop, not a complement, which is why they do not integrate.

Unfortunately, existing sites can't be converted, so it does require rebuilding the site. I am sorry, but the differences are so great it just is not possible
