Every month I upload a pdf file - 7 pages of addresses for our Residents. Those residents with Iphones only get page 1 of the file. Is there another acceptable format to use where the iPhone users can view all 7 pages.

I wanted to add additional information, it is retreathomeowners.net and it is on the directories page where the pdf files are located.

The new Websitebuilder would be the best format.

I'm unable to duplicate the problem due to password protection. This may need to be addressed by someone from Homestead. They'll be back tomorrow.

How do I get the new Websitebuilder and would it resolve my problem for my users?

As far as would the new websitebuilder solving your problem is concerned? I honestly don't know. I've never had the need to make files available for download or pdf's for viewing.

But I can tell you that to switch to websitebuilder you simply need to start a new website from your website manager on your account pages. It's a link on the upper right of the page. I can also tell you that you'll have to completely rebuild your site from scratch as an existing site built with desktop sitebuilder or sitebuilder plus can't simply be made to work with websitebuilder with a few button clicks. If you decide to go with the newer websitebuilder you'll feel overwhelmed at first but don't worry, homestead has lots of videos on youtube to help. Besides, you already know how to use the program even if you don't think you do. You just don't don't know where everything is.

You can also call 800-710-1998 or (800) 986-0958.

Good luck.

I appreciate your comments regarding rebuilding the website, however, it is not very comforting to know that I have to go to you tube to resolve my problems. I would like my original question answered please.

I'm sorry. I was responding to your second question about using websitebuilder. As you can see from my post to your original question I was unable to access the page because of password protection so I was unable to duplicate the problem. Please accept my apology and good luck.

Hello ,

I would like to replicate the issue in order to trouble shoot it. What page are you experiencing this on?

I am also restricted to testing due to the password protection. This may be easier to resolve with one of our phone agents as we would either need you to provide the password or I would need to delete it on my end. I would hate to remove it because I would not be able to put it back as I do not know what the current password is. I would recommend calling into support at 1-800-710-1998 for further assistance.

I was able to see what was happening. If a person request to open that PDF in a new window from a mobile device, it will open and display all pages. Unfortunately by just having the PDF on the page it opens in the same window and only displays the first page.
What you can do it set up a button and link it to the PDF or text and link it. When linking just make sure to select open in another browser window. This will allow the view to see all pages when it is clicked on.

Michelle, I tried linking it to the pdf, but it will not let me highlight that area so that I can link it. I am sorry but I need some more in-depth explanation.

No problem. First you need to insert a button.

Next, rename the the button September 2019 and select link.

From the link window select browse and link it to september2019 directory by address PDF and make sure you set it to open in a new browser window. Save and publish and this will work on mobile.
