BigCommerce integrates directly with the e-mail marketing company, MailChimp. You can use the built-in newsletter feature of BigCommerce to have your customers sign up to receive e-mail marketing from you. Once you integrate with MailChimp, you can set up rules to add customers to certain lists when they order from your store, purchase a product, etc.

.) First, you'll need an account with MailChimp.
.) Click on the Sign Up Free button.

.) Put in your e-mail address, username, and password. Then, click Create My Account.

.) You will then be sent a confirmation e-mail. Once you receive it, click the activate your accountbutton in it.

.) You'll then have to verify that you are a human, so go ahead and fill out the form, and click Confirm Signup.

.) Check the box next to MailChimp. (You may need to scroll down in the box to see it.) Click Save.

.) Click on the new MailChimp tab.

.) Paste your API Key into the box, and click the Verify API Key button.

.) You should now see a message confirming that your API Key is valid. If it fails, make sure that there are no extra spaces in the key. Also, make sure that it is active in your MailChimp account. If all else fails, generate a new one and try again. Click Save.

You have now successfully integrated MailChimp into your BigCommerce store. You can now create e-mail marketing campaigns and lists in your MailChimp account, and then create the rules to assign customers to those lists.
