I am about to copy and paste an "Amazing Slider into my home page. On the "Amazing Slider" tutorial it tells me to paste the first part of the code BEFORE the <head> and then the other part of the code where I want the slider to go. I understand the 2nd part of te instructions. But am unsure of the BEFORE the <head> part. In the advance serttings I see <head> but unsure about the BEFORE insertion. help?

Hi Mary6707,

We are not able to place something before the head section, just in the head section.  Paste it into the head section and we will see.  Are you sure it doesn't say before the closing head tag?

Thanks

Drew

Hi mary9288,

Unfortunately we don't have phone support available on the weekends, but maybe we can help you here.  Let us know where you are getting stuck and what you have tried.

Please understand that we are not typically able to troubleshoot 3rd party code, but we can help you to get it placed.

Thanks

Drew

Ok, so there are 2 components.  The head section and the body, so your picture shows both in one document.  In our system, the head section is available through the Page settings > Advanced settings.  You do not need the head and /head tags.  Sitebuilder adds those for you, so simply copy/paste the part between those.

The body section will need to be placed in an HTML box on the page.  Add a box by going to insert > more, and select HTML.  Again only copy/paste the code between the body and /body tags.  Again, Sitebuilder adds those for you.

Lastly, you will need to upload any images used in the slider to a folder called images as there is code referencing that folder.

Once everything is up ok, then you will need to publish.  If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks

Drew

one more question: see screenshot. do they want me to put my domain/the name of my fold? or do they want me to put my folder in place of the folder example they created and leave the rest the same?

what I mean is... is this what I am supposed to do?

You would put http://www.yourdomain/foldername.

In the body code, the source references /images.  If you upload on the dependent images to a folder called images, then you need not change the code.  If you name the folder something other than images, then you would need to also edit the code and change images to whatever folder name you choose.

Does that help?

OMG this is so hard! 2 more screenshots! I'm sorry... but I don't understand the terminology. Am I supposed to copy the gray text above the codes and at the bottom? Am I supposed to delete them and put in my domain? I am going to send my code to you so you can see f its right.

mary9288,  What page are you having the problem with?  I looked at each page and don't see any that have a blue background.
