I'm sure this is a case of can't see the forest for the trees, but I've lost my chainsaw.

1. How do we set the link colors for main color, visited color?
2. How do we set up a To Top link?
3. How do we make the 'Parent' static in the navigation menu so it doesn't open, but the drop down opens?

Editing the links inside of the new builder is a little bit different, but takes some getting used to. If you select the Page Menu, click Style, then Button, you will get an option to edit the Text color. Now, from here is where it gets a bit more complicated. If you want to edit the other colors of the link (hoovering, visiting link, etc.) you will want to click Design on the left of your builder, select Colors, then edit the color of your Palette. This will help unify a style to your website. However, it does not look like you can have a visited link color.
The "to top" feature can be found if you click Add, find Scrolling Navigation under Common, then add the Scroll Top Button where you want that button to be placed. You can also find other options here, such as a Scroll Button Bottom, or a Sections Menu.
So far from what I can see, there is not a way to make a parent link static without a link.

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you Todd, I appreciate the assist as I was driving myself bonkers with those things!
Perhaps making the Parent a static link is something to pass on to the devs.

Glad you had an answer Todd.. Susan, miffed with a chainsaw doesn't bear thinking about.. Just a point.. I have at the moment a "More" navigation button..( came with the template) but somehow I have managed to connect two pages to it as sub pages. When I hover the mouse over "more" it doesn't move but a drop down menu with the other two pages appear as nav links... Susan is this the effect your looking for..? If not and you still looking for your chainsaw...... forget I mentioned it

That might be my answer if I can change the text 'More' to be specific to the category I'm wanting.  Thanks Brian
(keeping chainsaw handy just in case)

Susan, just had a replay ( as I deleted the original More link) and basically I created a drop down menu..Here's how it went.

Went to Pages  clicked on  Manage pages

Added a new page

titled it "More" saved it

"More" then appeared on my nav bar

Went back into pages/ manage pages

Scrolled down to page "More", clicked on it

then added another page "Page 1" and saved

IN the pages list it was directly under More so then picked it up with the mouse and pulled it to the right a little. Saved and then on my nav bar "More" had a down facing arrow. Hover over "More"and a drop down menu appears. Obviously the drop down is fully editable in colour, shape size text fonts etc.

Is the More button your stationary parent button?

Thanks for the pictures - I love pictures. lol  I haven't had time to work on the site this afternoon, but the objective is to have Photos in the main menu (the parent) that doesn't open to a page but has a drop down specifying various photo galleries. Your concept will work I believe IF I can change the text from More to Photos.

Well, no joy. That's what I was doing before, but can't get the Parent to stay static and just open the drop down. :(

Should work?????. Let me try adding several pages to a drop down. Renaming the page is in the menu ( i think) will have a look at report back. :)  In the meantime here the link https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/how-do-i-create-a-drop-down-menu-tceolrg8r6qnm

Brian I have the drop down figured out, but unable to get the main menu item to not open, but rather just the drop down. I'm not explaining this very well and I appreciate your efforts, but don't want you to spend a bunch of time on it (you'll be wanting to borrow my ax!)
Here's what I'm trying to do. When you click on Photos I don't want it to open a page. I just want the drop down to open.

Ah.. I didn't think you COULD click on the photo's button.. just hover over the button. So. if it opens the Photo page, then there must be a link....to photos page... is there a way to remove that link.. I am not bothered spending time playing with the problem, you have helped me enough, spellchecker alone has saved me a good year of my life so far.  I am learning at the same time, as I may well need to implement the same on a future website ( in fact it has given me an idea for my current website) and I always get a warm fuzzy feeling helping friends... If all else fails I've got my "smat" pills....You have a great day

Just so you know ... I appreciate your help and input!
There is a link ... I'll look at that some more to see if you can remove the link and still keep the item in the menu.
It's complicated, that whole drop down thing. In preview mode when I click on Photos sometimes the Photo page opens and sometimes it doesn't. Clicking around on it in various spots will eventually open the page. Which means that some visitors might hit it just right and the Photo (parent page) would open and there wouldn't be anything on it. Someone else mentioned they were having the same problem. So apparently there is a glitch.
You have a dandy day as well.

first. I know you do or i wouldn't offer it.. :) and just to confirm, I finally replicated the problem of clicking on the link and getting a page come up.. not from the drop down Odd when I tried it yesterday it was static.. Anyway I tried every conceivable setting, creation, deletion etc etc and finally had to admit defeat and accept it cannot be done.. Homestead developers have given the function to add a drop down menu to a link on the nav bar..( now called the pages menu, why I don't know).but the link is not static. Just had an idea to see if I can add a drop down menu to a text.. not hopeful.

I'm betting that when you tried it yesterday you experienced the glitch - that the page doesn't always open.
I've been trying different tacks as well with no success. You can't remove the link from it ...
Something to add to our wish list I guess.
