Can you try using Chrome. I was able to upload an image no problem. Can you upload from the file manager's import option? What is the file name, file type, and file size?

Andrew7090, Which site and page are you working on? What type of image are you uploading? Can you post the image here?

becky9341, can you try using Chrome as see if this is a browser issue somehow. I was able to upload images to your site. Can you post the image you are working on?

Not altogether sure whats occuring but as DRew has mentioned try importing the image from your computer directly into the image file in your file manager window. If it makes it there you should be able to then insert it into the page . Size and available storage space in your account could be an issue. If you can post one of the images, as Drew has asked, he will be able to advise you better.

becky9341, As I said above, I am not having any trouble uploading images in either browser, so I am not sure what exactly is happening yet, but do you see the problem with both Firefox and Chrome. I use Chrome mostly and do not see an issue.

Andrew/Becky, just to clarify... Is it that you can both upload pics but once it gets to 6pm EST...it all goes wrong? Andrew stated I cant upload images after 6pm EST...it just cycles back to the upload from my computer screen box and Becky you responded with Mine doing exactly the same thing

If this is the case there could be a time issue problem. However if thats not the case then if you could give a bit more info. Can you upload to your file manager ? or not upload any picture from your computer at any time. As Drew has mentioned above he can upload images without problem. As one of the support staff at Homestead Drew has access to your account and can look first hand at your programmes to see if there is an issue. It may help him in his investiagtions if you could let him know if its a specific page you are having this problem with and, as he has mentioned previously, could you post the image here ( or is it that all images/pages are now affected). The more information you can give the better chance Drew and the Tech guys will have to indentify the problem and resolve it.

I have gone thru the same steps many times and uploaded fine that's how the pictures got on to begin with . But now all of a sudden the past few times I hae tried to update , past 6 mo, I select pics and nothing happens . Nothing at all . There is no chat box so it is becoming increasingly difficult to explain what's going on at the moment when I have to contact someone and wait for a response, and then try to remember exactly what I saw what happened and so on. I'm not sure why homestead seems to be a little behind anyway. I enjoy working on my own website but there is a huge issue. You guys are the techs. Your the ones who should be able to tell me exactly the problem to address. This shouldn't be a guessing game at this point.

becky9341, There are no issues on our end that would cause this at this time. We need to ask questions to find out why you are experiencing this issue. Currently I am thinking it is an issue with something in your browser which is why I am asking you to try Google Chrome to see if it has the same problem

Becky, I have been building websites for clients since 2000 first with homestead downloaded builder and last year I changed to the online version of SB+ and have been frustrated only on a couple of occasions, both were software related, so I do understand how frustrating it can get. Bottom line is, Your programme has worked fine, now it doesnt... ergo "something" has changed. Thats the issue. Now, whats the answer. Realistically the fault can be in one of three places ( other annomolies maybe) but the first three main culprits. Begining, Middle and End. Possible culprit 1) Homestead programme at the end of the process... well Drew has said he can upload to your pages with out a problem.. please consider the millions of computers out there all with varying OS sytems and all with their owners personal setups and other programmes installed, the combinations are endless so possible culprit 2) Begining... Has anything changed with your PC?, have any updates caused a problem?.. I would suspect not because you have said it works through the day but its later in the evening you get problems. That then leave Possible culprit 3) The MIddle..The connection between you and your Homestead account. That can be in two parts, your browser and add ons or your ISP. The problem occuring with time I find strange. Here in the UK, we do get a drop in internet speed in the evening, people home from work logging on and kids surfing the net after school.. There are "speed testers" on ilne to check connection speeds at varying times of the day, see if you are affected. I am sure Dew has checked with the IT guys to see if there is any significance to the 6 EST time frame. Maybe a cleaner comes in at Homestaed and unplugs the web server to plug her hoover in.???. OK I know its not that, just an attempt to try an lower your stress levels. The point of the above is to hopefully help with the fact that, when in comes to computers and the internet, sometimes it goes wrong and becomes fustrating as it certainly is,  I have been there on many occasions over the years,  pullng my hair out. At the end of the day it is a mystery that you need to investigated and solve so it does become a guessing game. I feel for you and truly hope the resolution is found quickly. Hang in there and hope for the best, try all solutions offered, becuase everything you try that doesnt solve the problem narrows down the list of possible suspects and gets you nearer to solution.

i tried switching to Safari, which normally i avoid because everyone advises against it, and the upload problem is solved, images upload--which poses a different question: the only image option i get now is for a square image--i want the original sizing, rectangular, a vertical shot. is this another brilliant Homestead decision to restrict our choices or is there a way to spend hours doing what Weebly does automatically?

If it is trying to add as a Photo Gallery element, that would cause the image to appear square. Uploading it as an Image will keep the original scale.

If another browser works then it would suggest its browser settings that is causing the problem. Drew has suggested chrome have your tried that, personally I am using firefox with no issues. I dont think its a Homestead decision at all as Todd has mentioned uploading into gallery will automatically resize a square the image. Weebly is no different and has its share of problems but Hey! its your call.
