I'm unable to use password protect on my websites. When I set password , save and publish - when page is viewed I enter new password and page does not come up.

What site are you experiencing this issue with?

This happens because the password has been saved in your browser and the browser is adding it to the field after you put the new password in. When you save the page and publish, the browser has added the password to the page and it goes online. You will need to go into the password settings for the browser and locate the line for "sitebuilder.homestead.com" and remove it from the list. This should prevent this from happening again.

Thanks for the response.  I deleted the password for www.homestead.com and that didn't help. When I get the box asking for password, I enter it and the screen goes blank.  I've been unable to get SiteBuilder to install on my Windows 10 computer - separate problem.

The password you need to delete is for sitebuilder.homestead.com, not www.homestead.com.
That downloadable program is very old and outdated and not compatible with anything over Windows 7. It is recommended to not use it. There is a program that you can download that could temporarily repair that program, but anytime Windows does an update (which is often), the builder is liable to break again.
