I am attempting to forward a domain to a Google site, but none of the suggestions I've found worked!

Did they provide you with any instructions? They should have given you either nameservers or DNS settings to point the domain.

I had a site with Homestead, closed the acct, recently reactivated the domain but no website.
I did not inquire about this when reactivating domain, thinking it would be an easy task to forward.

Forwarding is not a preferred redirect, especially by Google. They prefer a DNS point. Can you get DNS records from the Google site?

This so I can forward my Homestead domain to a Google site?

Domain pointing and domain forwarding are two different things. The end result is the same, the domain displays the website you made at Google. Search engines prefer domain pointing and you will receive better search ranking because of it. If you can find the nameservers, or DNS records for your Google site, we can help you point it. Because it is not preferred we don't really do forwarding, but if you have the Google URL and want to forward, then I can see what is possible, but I would think that Google sites would support domain pointing.

We'll need to wait a little for propagation, but the site should be coming up in a while.
