Why do my audio links AUTOMATICALLY play when I open a page on my site? I did NOT chose that as an option..

I have a page on my site with two audio links within it. When I open the page they both start to play. I did not chose that option for auto play when designing the page. My site is www.midwestmotorsportsweekly.com they are found in the Archives tab.

All my media clips play simultaneously. Help!.

People have been viewing my website, and some of them say that when they go to my media page, all of my recordings play simultaneously. I am a professional singer, and I can't have that happen. What can be done about this? Is there something I am missing?

Sound players playing automatically without being set to, anyone know why?.

I have sound players set to not play automatically, but several people have reported to me that they are. I have lots of them on one page so it's making it impossible to listen to just one! I've double checked them on my end and none of them are set to play automatically. What's going on?

Music clips all playing over one another at the same time on my website..

When I go to my website (the same way anyone who wants to view it would) all the music clips start playing at the same time, over one another. This never happened before. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

My audio plays automatically on Google - how do I stop it - It works fine on IE.

When I added my audio to my web site I set the site NOT to play automatically. However when I log into my site via Google all the audio recordings play automatically - how do I stop that happening. I have tried everything. If I log into my site using Internet Explorer, it works just fine.

Why does my audio go on autoplay if i dont have it marked to do so?..

I downloaded my MP3 player file but it automatically starts when the page opens and does not give me the option to let the viewer click on the arrow to start the MP3 player sound.

Hi Yvonne8231,

I have merged you into an idea thread.  It isn't exactly the same topic, but it is part of the larger whole.  Also, there were more likes on this topic and your have been added to the topic.  This will hopefully help raise the priority to fix this.

Drew

Good morning Dwight7039,

This is a known issue in the Chrome browser, and we are working to correct it.  In the short term the only solution is to Google search for a free media player that can be added in an HTML box.

Thanks

Drew

My Flute and Violin Duo's website has had this issue for TWO years!  All the audio players on our REPERTOIRE page begin to simultaneous play. How alarming that is for a Prospective Client. It has been a heartbreak.  Finally, a month ago, one excellent Homestead tech, Dav Ortise, told me that the GOOGLE CHROME'S HTML-5 language is different from everyone else -- hence, we all have these audio players that begin to play simultaneously.  I have been waiting SO long for Homestead to fix this.  I don't have the knowledge to handle this repair, which would only take 30 minutes for a knowledgeable Homestead tech to do.  When I signed up, over three years ago, this was not an issue. It has been SO upsetting for us.  Sincerely, Michele, www.BridalMusic.org.

Greetings,

My Flute and Violin Duo's website has had this issue for TWO years!  All the audio players on our REPERTOIRE page begin to simultaneous play. How alarming that is for a Prospective Client. It has been a heartbreak.  I have received so many incorrect answers, during these past two years, regarding my ongoing inquiries and concern.

Finally, a month ago, one excellent Homestead tech, Dav Ortise, correctly told me that the GOOGLE CHROME'S HTML-5 language is different from everyone else -- hence, we all have these audio players that begin to play simultaneously.

I have been waiting SO long for Homestead to fix this.  I don't have the knowledge to handle this repair, which would only take 30 minutes for a knowledgeable Homestead tech to do.  When I signed up, over three years ago, this was not an issue. It has been SO upsetting for us.

Homestead said, today -- January 15, 2015 -- that I would need my entire website redesigned for a $900 fee -- which would include the correcting of this HTML-5 audio issue.  Sigh...

Sincerely, Flutist Michele, Bridal Music, Jersey Shore., www.BridalMusic.org

Due to our sale from Intuit, we have simply not been able to work on this. We have created a topic on how to add your audio via HTML and use that.
