I have had a website with Homestead since 2009. I want to build a responsive site and I was just about to switch over to another company. It now seems that Homestead offers responsive websites but I don't know where to find the Homestead Websitebuilder. I assume I will have to build from scratch which isn't that big of a deal. My question is, am I able to switch over to a responsive site and keep my domain name and end up having just that one site in the end?

Log into your account and click on to Websites Manager and on the right side near the top you will see "Add a Website.  You will name the "new" website something similar to your current domain name, but it will have the end saying ".homesteadcloud.com"  then you just go from there.  Easiest thing to do is open your older website in another window and just cut and paste text and stuff.  You do have the option of downloading all your old file like pictures and then just drop them into your NEW files manager (that is on the list of elements you will discover)  Then when you are all done, you will go through the Domains Manager and direct your domain name to be "associated" with the new site.  Easy!

Lynn1286 is exactly correct. You would just need to add a new site on your account, as she mentioned, rebuild the site which should be very easy since you have a guide with the older site, and then change the site association. Let me know if you have any questions or need help with any part of that.

I was in the exact same situation about 18 months ago.  I have multiple websites with homestead and pay the $22 per month.  I was extremely familiar with the old site builder platform, so learning a new system wasn't something I was looking forward to. But it was easy!  I rebuilt a smaller site first just like Lynn suggested.  Then I rebuilt two more and just finished building another one.  Sure, there is a learning curve to it, but it was easy.  Give it a try.
