It's really to the point where I can't get my head around all the little things that the new builder does. I mean there are things I want to fix and I can't find a solution. Since I picked a template, I changed some things (Text color and size and the like) but it reverts to the templates color and text size when I add a new element and I would love to change the default permanently but I don't know how. I wanted to add a blog but I found problems with that as well, I added an image and have no idea how to adjust it after I've uploaded it or how to change the text size on the blog. Anyway, all these things are a bit of a wall, one I see other builders handling by having a vast library of in-depth tutorials. This is really needed cause coming here every time I have a question or don't know how to do something is time consuming and it takes time to get a reply.

We are past the point were any of this is OK anymore. I was cool with it when you first launched this new builder but now, this is not acceptable anymore. We need both basic and in-depth tutorials and plenty of them and we need then now... Please, don't make me have to find a new builder, I would really rather not leave.

Oh and put the tutorial links RIGHT in the builder, so I can click it and have it open a new window, so I can learn what I need to do and implement. Now, when I click the help center (Which is not all that helpful anyway) it takes me OUT of the builder, WHERE is the logic in that??? I want to be able to read what I need to do and do it, not have to reload the builder. It's really not intuitive at all...

I totally agree Maurice - a dedicated tutorial should have been included with the launch of the program. I've built a few sites with it and still have to dig around trying to figure things out - and even when I do, the next time I go in changes have been made, so what I did know no longer applies and it's back to square one.

To change your colors, font, etc. click on Design in the Menu on the left side. To change the colors, Click on Colors and the panel opens to show the current color preset and below that it will show Site Presets (these are ones you have tried and saved before) and then it shows Presets Collections. These are a variety of color combos you can choose from.

To create your own Preset colors click on the Current color preset then Click on Edit Colors. A new panel opens showing all the colors associated with your main selections - light to dark. To change the colors Click on one of the colors and a panel opens where you can select a new color. When you're done Click on Save Palette and this becomes your default.

Click on Font Style and it shows what color has been assigned to each of the fonts - you can change this by clicking on the title of the individual font elements - Paragraph Title, Menu Button, etc.

I hope this helps a bit with the colors.

It surely does help a lot... Thanks a bunch Susan... Yeah, I really love tutorials I can watch over and over to get the hang of the thing, lock it to memory. I hope they get on that, it's long past the time... If I knew this builder inside out, I would make my own. Time sadly is not on my side.

Thanks  again Susan... ;-)

Now, if he could just get a little info from the team and if they are planning on doing it or not...

I do not have any information at this time. I try to build my own topics based on specific questions asked here in the community to help out.

So no movement on that... What to do???

Alright, I'll see if  I can pick up enough to make this work with your topics. Maybe I'll make a few tutorials from what I learned. Who knows, maybe homestead will hire me if I do it good enough.

Question, Do you know if the blog has anyway to change the font type and size? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Oh and I would also love to know, if I can't get this blog to where I like it, how do I go about embedding a blog I build somewhere else into my website, is there a way to do that that's not too clunky? Thanks

So if you go to the blog page, and double click on the text, on the right, instead of seeing the full properties editor, you will see an abbreviated one, where only style is available. Click on style and you will see the options for the blog posts. Font 1 is the text and font 2 is the header above the text.

The only way to embed would be via an HTML box. There might be a way to add a cname to your domain and redirect using a link and even though they are not on your site, they would see the URL blog.yourdomain.com. I will have to see if I can make that resolve correctly.

Thanks Drew,

I'm going to try to make the blog work with the settings available, thanks for the tips...
