Can you try reducing the width of the page to a lower amount of pixels, then try to preview? Let me know if this helps.

When you changed the width to 1000 and previewed, did it adjust the site any? It should be removing all that extra space on the right.

I finally got someone on chat. But they didn't help.  Over a year ago...prob 2 years... I decreased the width of the site because I didn't understand what I was doing then. I have an iMac with a 26" screen! so I thought I could just fill er up with site! lol  So, Homestead told me later to reduce it. I rebuilt the whole site to 1000. Standard is 900, correct?  Well, the chat person told me my navigation menu was too long. so I reduced it a lot to see what would happen and nothing did! Back to square one. my site needs to be centered on all browers like it was before. help? the navigation options allow a line to go all the way to 40. she told me to make my nav. 2 lines... why? I dont want it 2 lines.

It appears the navigation menu is too long and instead of wrapping around, it continues beyond the page width which is why the page stays so long. Constructing a second navigation will help the links publish fine without going beyond the width. When I removed the navigation for a moment and reduced the width, it center aligned for me perfectly fine but when I added it back in, it put everything off again.

so, that was not the issue. Turns out I had forgotten to reduce a hidden page from 2000 down to 1000 like the rest of the site... once I fixed that the site centered just fine. thanks for you help.

Did you accidentally zoom the browser?
