I have two homestead websites, and yet I have two different website builders. Why are they different? And can I get them both the same?

I have two different websites on Homestead. They are both under the same account. However, they both use different website builders. The one is easy to use, the other is confusing, and quite frankly ticks me off. Is there a way to get both websites with the same Page Builder? I am not even sure why there are two different versions. I am about ready to move to WIX for the other website, because this website builder is a pain in butt to use...definitely not user friendly.

lawofaction9006, there are indeed 2 different builders. The new builder does take some getting used to, but it also makes a more modern looking site. Check out our site spotlight from yesterday's The Homesteader newsletter. You can feel free to visit our topic too, if you want to ask any questions.

All new sites are assigned to our new Homestead Websitebuilder. You other site is on the older Sitebuilder program, which you are still welcome to use. If you want to try the new Websitebuilder and see if you can make something great, then I think you will be pleased. However, if you want to use Sitebuilder for thew new site, I can create a new site for you and move the domain to it and assign it to Sitebuilder. I can leave the site you have begun in Websitebuilder so you can play with it, if you want. If you ever decide you like it better, you can just move the domain. Unfortunately, we are not able to covert any site from one builder to the other, so if you want to use Sitebuilder for the new site, then you do have to start over with a Sitebuilder template. Let me know what you would like to do and I will get it set for you.

I would like to change my website to the new websitebuilder. I started a new website, about a month ago, for my dad and it is so much easier than the old one and has more features for a lower price. I would also like the new pricing to apply to my site as I would rather go back down to the basic site, since blogging is available in the basic package for websitebuilder for no extra charge.

Cara9135, If you create a new site on your account, it will use Websitebuilder. Unfortunately we can't migrate the existing site to Websitebuilder. Once you have it done, we can change your package and remove the old site. If we change your billing now, your existing blog will be removed. I assume you want to keep that until the new site is done.

Can I delete my caraperkins.com site and start the same site over using Websitebuilder?  It is important that I can keep caraperkins.com

I would create the new site and build it using Websitebuilder. When you are done you can move the domain to the new site. Then delete the old site, that way you have no down time at all.
