I have had a website on Homestead for 16 years. I created it myself from scratch. I don't want to use any of the templates available. Which I did try to erase everything on one to make it blank. No luck.

Hello  Renee5076

If you go under "Pages" click the icon to add a new page, and choose "Add Blank Page", it will be free of background images and elements. The only thing that will show is the content in the header and footer and a blank middle section. You can do what you want from that point.

What I did was look for a template with a header that I liked (and that looked like it could be adapted to our fairly long business name) and then I simply removed all the content.  I didn't feel technically competent enough to start completely from scratch, so this selective trashing and adding method has worked well for me and playing around with the different elements has been very instructive.  I was even able to change the footer to fit our needs.
