I have been told Sitebuilder Plus is OLD and OVERLOADED.......I have HORRIBLE problems at times but I've figgered out a "Work Around" that gets me by!!

I have looked at their new software and since mine is a Photo Site it would take weeks to build a new one...but I've started!!

GOOD LUCK and hopefully Elyzabeth will respond......she's really good....know's her stuff!!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Why are my updates not publishing?.

I have updated my site, saved, checked the preview and published the changes however it is not showing the changes that I have made?

Hello,

I can certainly take a look. Which site and what changes have you made that are not publishing?

Well it's been a fun ride with Site Builder but I am affraid it's time to say goodbye to Homestead after about 13 years. I can no longer update my site. Not interested in the new version. Want my old version working like it use to but that's not going to happen. I will be switching to something else in the next week or so. I think I have found the one I will be switcing to.

I'm sorry to hear that. If you are going to be rebuilding your site, what is the reason you are not interested in looking at our newest builder, Website Builder? You would be able to slowly rebuild your site while your older site is still up at no additional cost, you wouldn't have to transfer your domain, and you would still have the support that Homestead provides. Also, it is a much more updated builder with a mobile builder, a free SSL, and a more modern look. Plus, we have SO many helpful tutorials, through written instruction and Youtube videos, to assist you with that transition.

Yeah... I'm gonna have to follow suit! This online Site Builder is simply AWFUL. And everyone keeps telling me I can't download the desktop version which was WAY BETTER. What a shame...

The desktop version is unfortunately very old and outdated. It cannot create responsive sites, can't be made to be mobile friendly, and can't be secured. Those three things are SO important for websites these days that it just is not in the best interest of our customers to continue using that program. Have you looked at Website Builder? It fixes all of those issues and we have received so much positive feedback from people who rebuilt their sites from Sitebuilder to Website Builder.

I spent the entire weekend trying to accomplish what should be a simple website update. I'm exhausted and tearing my hair out.  Homestead is broken.  I don't have time to recreate my website from scratch, Intuit!

Hello,

You cannot publish these changes because you have exceeded the amount of storage you are currently paying for. You are trying to publish 15,894.1kb of new content, when you only have 436.9kb available. You can either go through your file manager and delete content you no longer need, to clear space, or I can add additional storage on your account for $2/month. You would just need to let me know if you want me to make that change.

Additionally, just so you know who you are dealing with, we have not been associated with Intuit since 2012. We are just Homestead. Still the same product and we are definitely here to help. No one is telling you that you have to recreate your website from scratch.
