It says I either need to reduce the files or purchase more disk space???? I need to publish the changes I have made. I have never had this problem before so really confused.

Check List: WEBSITE PAGE NOT PUBLISHING:
note: Use Google Chrome or Firefox browser.
1. Try a F5 to Refresh your browser.
2. Publishing will be prohibited if you've exceed your page limit or your storage limit. Does your account allows for 25mb of disk space? If you are attempting to exceed that amount, so it will not publish.
3. You may add 1gb of space for $2/month.
4. you can look in the file manager and see if there are files no longer on a page that you can delete to free up some space.
5. To see your used and remaining storage space, go to homestead.com and log into your account. Select My Account > Account Summary > In the page that opens, you'll see your site stats, including the amount of MB used and remaining.
6. Do you have a 5 page plan? You may be trying to publish more than 5 pages. You can either remove pages to get down to 5, or you can add a 10/pack, 10 additional pages for $2/month.
7. Have you tried publishing from the file manager? https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/why-are-my-changes-not-publishing

Hello,

I do see the current usage on this site is 19.87MB out of the available 25MB. If the changes you have applied are causing the diskspace to exceed 25MB you will either need to add more space for $2 per month or adjust the published content to remain within the 25MBs. What page did you make changes to?

I changed about everthing. I deleted a lot and added in some different things but not any more than I usually do.

I published only the index page from the file manager and it did increase the disk-space to 22.41/25 MB. This was just one page of changes and if you updated multiple it may be exceeding due to using larger images or other factors.  You can purchase the additional space or review the file manager and remove and unpublish any unneeded content. https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/sitebuilder-plus-view-file-manager

Thank you! I deleted some of the images I had under the File manager and freed up space for the new images I wanted to use instead! Yay!
