My other pictures are fine, but for some reason the ones I am trying to put in now keep coming up sideways.  I have never had this happen before.  I have tried the command to the right to rotate and it isn't helping.

You need to adjust them prior to importing them.

I have never had to do that before.  None of the other pictures taken at the same time and in the same direction, had this happen.  Something is just not right with this Homestead program.  I miss the old program.

Have you tried to rotate your image using "Image Settings" > Adjust Image > Rotate Image?

yes, tried that, did not do anything but change the shape of the picture but did not move the actual picture.

Some images taken from mobile devices may publish sideways. The easiest resolution is to save the file as a new image on your computer with the correct angle.

I have had this happen to me on several occasions. Never have found a fix. Stinks.

You must adjust them before you upload them.

The fix is to open them in Microsoft Paint and make sure they look correct. Then use Save As and give them a new file name, or save them as a new image. If they are jpg, save them as png. Then upload them again.

If any of you have an image that is doing this, please give us the file names, so we can look at them and maybe get this fixed. You can also post the image here. The problem is some devices seem to add orientation code which is interfering with Sitebuilder.

I think it is the new Homestead, I never had this problem with the old Homestead.  I discovered it only does it on the pictures I have not edited.  So I can't  use any SOOC pictures, which is a pain. I had a couple of nice SOOC pics I was trying to use and it kept turning them sideways.  I finally gave up but am not happy.

Per Drew: "PICTURE ORIENTATION: The fix is to open them in Microsoft Paint and make sure they look correct. Then use Save As and give them a new file name, or save them as a new image. If they are jpg, save them as png. Then upload them again."

It isn't our server. It is some cameras that add additional code to the image that overrides Sitebuilder. It does so in this software too apparently. By opening in Paint and saving it as a new file. you strip that extra code and it will work.
