Did you change something on the domain contact info? or do you need to change something. The only password you should need is to your Homestead account.

I called Homestead about the problem with getting the WHOIS site to accept my username and password but she asked if my email address was the same, and all the other information for my domain, then looked into it and assured me it had been approved by WHOIS.

I am not quite sure what you are asking. whois search engines will give you registration information about a domain. There are tons of whois engines. I have never seen one that required a password. I am not sure what you mean by a glitch on Homestead's side either, as Homestead does not offer a whois search. When you look at whois, do you see the correct information on your domains?

I am trying to get help for this from Homestead office staff, too, when they return.  I don't know that I usually attempt to enter a password at WHOIS but I did this time and wished I hadn't. It is a glitch on the Homestead sign-in page that is the problem and has been for a long time, I don't know why I have two sign-in names but the wrong one has always been the one that shows.  And that wrong one is the one that is shown on WHOIS. I tried to set it right but this will take someone with know-how to fix, who has access to my web sites.
