We frequently get questions with regard to troubleshooting HTML, CSS code etc. Our SiteBuilder software does provide the ability for users to import their own code but there are some limits to what we are able to troubleshoot. If you need help troubleshooting your own HTML, (or 3rd party code), you are welcome to post here and solicit the help from other community members. We will assist if your issue is specifically SiteBuilder related, but have to limit our involvement in other cases.

Does anyone have an HTML snippet you would share with me to help display photos on the Site Builder Plus platform? I don't want to use the image scroller for my home page. I would like images to fade in and out, one on top of the other.

Thanks,

D'Wanna

I hope someone can help! I'm trying to change the background color in the category title bars but can't find the code for it. The store theme template I'm using is "Nature Blue". You can view the title bars here: http://stores.homestead.com/springcre.... The part I'm trying to change is the light blue colored "bars" which hold the category titles. I believe it's actually an image, not a background color. I also believe what I'm looking for is a piece of code called "div.titlebar.group.title" OR ".group-title".

If there's someone out there that is familiar with this store theme and knows where this bit of code is located, I'd sure appreciate some advise!

Thanks - Marcy

We recently emailed this to an Intuit adviser and have not got an answer yet. We are going to be relaunching out newly designed website shortly and would love to have this handled by then. Can you help?

Hi Anthony and Drew,

My client MaryLouise (All Points Fasteners.com) and I spoke with you yesterday about this WOWslider issue. I still cannot get it to work on her APF homepage. Can you tell me what I'm supposed to do in DW to get this to work? And then what HTML code to put on the Intuit page to make it work?

I am using this HTML code:

I don't see any code in your post. It may be blocked for security reasons if you just pasted the code. This is one of the cases where it will be very difficult, maybe impossible for us to troubleshoot unless you can provide us with instructions from the makers of the Wow Slider. Just by looking at the code alone won't help us. We'll need to know what supporting files are suppose to be in the file manager (or root directory), and if there is any code that belongs in the Head, or Body sections of the site. If you can find out these things, we can hopefully help you out.

I'm trying to add a slider to my homepage similar to what is on the homestead homepage. I have added all the code but the slider still doesn't not work. The images appear in a row (one above the other) but do not stack (one on top of the other)

Can you help with this issue>

I am a Realtor and want to add my IDX feed to my website. I added the link they gave me but it goes to a website that has ALL of the cities and counties that they support. As a Realtor we pay to see the listings for the area we work in and my clients will be able to see the listings for all the areas my provider supports. So my client will be able to get information about homes that I am not paying to see and can not get detailed information for
. Help....

I want to install Adobe Gallery slide show to my Website, and Adobe Photo offers exactly that.

I have installed it on my Computer, chose my pictures, Published it, and it is ready to Upload.

Here comes my need for help, because some of the html codes need to be installed on the website server, and I don't know how.

Can anyone help?

Thanks Gabriel

See Installation below:

How to insert the gallery on your web-page?

When you have published your gallery then you are able to upload it to a website.

Open the folder where your gallery was published.

Copy the “gallery” folder with all files located to the server where your webpage is.

You will get approximately this string of files:

/yourWebPage.html – your website
/gallery/
/gallery/config.xml
/gallery/gallery.swf
/gallery/js/
/gallery/js/jquery.js
/gallery/js/swfobject.js
/gallery/js/flashgallery.js
/gallery/images/
/gallery/images/1.jpg
/gallery/images/2.jpg
/gallery/images/3.jpg
...
/gallery/images/n.jpg

Open the file index.html from folder where gallery was published and copy the gallery’s embed code.
Paste the copied code to your webpage.

Is it possible to add custom Javascript code to my website? I think that I could add a whole new dimension to my site! For example, could I take the code from here - http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/s... - and apply it to my website?

Hi Lan4627,

The html box that I found appears to be Google tracking code. You have it placed in the body, which is correct.

There are 2 places that you are able to add code in Sitebuilder, in the Head tag and in the body. If you use an HTML box in Sitebuilder then you are placing it in the body. If you go to the Head tag section, from the page info button then you will be placing the code in the Head tag.

There is no way to add code between the Head and body sections in Sitebuilder. Ask Google which place it should be.

Hope this helps

If it's just for a stat/hit counter, it generally doesn't matter. You can just slide the html box to the top of the page so that it's out of your way when you are working on the site. It generally doesn't matter where you place the code unless the code itself is providing some sort of visual effect then of course you want to place the code wherever you need the graphics to appear.

Thanks

Third party image gallery (wow slider and others) not working. Doesn't seem to be a reason for it....

Hi, I've tried to add a WOWSlider to my website but the images don't show in preview or when published (all images are replaced with an 'x'). All image seem to be in the correct folders on the file manager to match up with the html code. I also get this result with other third party image gallery's I try. I never had this problem with the old desktop Sitebuilder. Any idea why my images aren't showing? Thanks.

creating a Photo rotating slideshow.

OK, so I created a scrolling photo slideshow.... on a separate file, then I must upload the file and then upload an "embedded file" (which is the file that makes the slideshow rotate/scroll), but the website is not accepting the embedded file.
How do I get Intuit to accept my embedded file?

Stack an image on top of my media file.

I am trying to stack my image (a png file with transparency) on top of my media file but no matter what I try with the layer commands, the slide show created by the media file always covers up my image. Any suggestions?

Hi Tony3921, Sorry but in SiteBuilder the media file will always be layered on top. It's quite possible this can be done by coding the site manually. There are a variety of threads on the internet that discuss this, but you'll likely need to be fairly well versed in the use of CSS/HTML coding.

Hi Lan4627, Anchor text is generally defined as the text which is used in a hyper link. When you create a hyperlink with text, you've created anchor text. The general SEO strategy is to use keywords in your links. If you are actually trying to do something different let me know.

Can you please clarify or restate your second question?

Hi Bryon7394, Our system does support CSS. I've seen several sites where people have successfully installed CSS menus. I don't have anything to look at to troubleshoot this, but when you upload the menu file into the file manager be sure to manually publish the file after it's in the file manager. Also, from the sites that I've seen the code which is pasted in the page/body of the site usually has to be edited to get it to center and layer correctly. You'll have to know a little bit about reading/editing code to make it work.

We can only provide limited support with regard to troubleshooting 3rd party code but you are welcome to solicit help from other community members here.
