You can easily create a mobile optimized store for smartphone shoppers. This is a fantastic opportunity. Half the adults in the U.S. have a smartphone and shopping from these devices soared in 2012 and is expected to continue to rise. More than 50% of your visitors will be using a mobile phone. According to a survey conducted by Nielsen in Q1 2012, the vast majority (79%) of US smartphone and tablet owners have used their mobile devices for shopping-related activities. Also, Google has recently announced that web sites that aren’t mobile-friendly will be demoted or deleted from mobile search results in the future.

How do we set this up so Google views our store as a mobile-friendly store?

Have you looked at the store on a mobile device? The templates are automatically set to make the site mobile. If this is not the case then let us know and we will take a look.

Mobile sites can be customized separately from the main site.

Thanks

If you are referring to the mobile site for the Bigcommerce stores, "no", it's part of the package. There's no extra cost.

The link via your account gives you a free option up to 10 pages. It also creates the redirect automatically. It does not appear as though the cat site connected via your Homestead account as you should have a link under the edit site button that says Manage Mobile site.

If you got set up with the premium package the you'll need to contact Dudamobile to change that. They bill separately for a premium account.
