but then i have a quick questions:
1. the site created, was that a sample only and i still need to do something about it?
2. i think i paid for my own domain to appear as: www.myinternetdepot.biz. what's going to happen to that now that i see my new url as www.myinternetdepot.mybigcommerce.com. this sounds like my site is a free site and hosted site.
please kindly advise.

You'll be able to keep and use your same domain name. To make it work, you'll have to complete the steps here:

Your hosting plan currently consists of the Storefront plan, plus the Starter plan combined. If you don't need both of them let us know. Or if you need some guidance just explain to us what you need to do and we can point you in the right direction.

The password only goes to the email on the account, which is stuffedgoose@verizon.net. We can get that changed, but it might not be until Monday. Are you able to get the Verizon email?

It takes 1-2 days to get a new store running. We have to do it from our end, the store you added to your account is the old platform.

I will get this going on Monday. Expect the email on Monday or Tuesday. Let us know if you haven't received by Tuesday afternoon.

I still haven't received an e-mail with a link to transition to Big Commerce either. I was asked to update my primary contact e-mail about a month ago and did so, but have heard nothing else since then. www.handmadebyrandi.com is my site.

Your timing for this switch could not be worse. I was pretty much locked out of making inventory changes to my own store for the whole month of December & didn't have time to deal with this--and really still don't. I didn't get my new log in info for Big Commerce either. Please resend. Also looks like my monthly fee will triple, which I guess would be OK if I actually get some sales. Can't find anywhere on your site if I can synch my store with Ebay like I used to. I also sell on Amazon. For this monthly cost, it would be nice to have that happen. I have a lead on another service for not much more than you will now be charging that WILL synch all 3 platforms. Very tempting if BigCommerce doesn't. My store is TheAuctionFrog.com

Oh...and thanks for your employee R.King who emailed me with an offer my "homestead" store wasn't eligible for titled "Idea for your store?" & then tried to recall his message. I emailed him back with these same concerns listed above last week Thursday. No response yet.

I am beyond frustrated!!! I can not log in with either email address (the one I ALWAYS log in with or the one associated with my website). I tried forgot password... and nothing was sent. I too, like many others do not have the extra time to put into this. Wish there was an easier transition. I am hopeful that all of this is worth it!!!

The forgot password link will send the email address to whatever email address you had on record with us on the main Homestead account. If you changed that, then it could be going to an old address. What address do you need it to be send to?

Gosh... I'm sorry, I've fixed so many in the last few days I forgot what was wrong on your account. It was probably a setting on the Domain Manager page where you can associate the subdomains (the "www" and "stores") with either a regular site, or the Storefront.

Fortunately once it's pointed you usually don't have to change anything. In the event that you would ever have to change the DNS back to the defaults, there's a link you can click which does it automatically. Let me know if you have any more problems and I'll be happy to help you out.

our store is currently being transitioned and we are getting call of customer not being able to purchase product. We have not received any information via email on login and I have been on hold for 1 hour and 45mins with homestead. When I called big commerce which the hold was less than a min, the informed us we had to call homestead. Since this is costing us sales and since we can't get any help over the phone maybe you have a suggestion for us to complete this transition. It funny how is I cancel our merchant account with them they call me back in less than 5 mins about a problem but can get a hold of anyone for our actual store service.

Regarding the domain name. I made one fix to the domain. If it does not start working in a couple hours let me know.

Lazaro9749 , The first thing to generally look at is the item(s), and make sure they have wights and dimensions entered. If not, the system can't calculate shipping and will give that error.

If you have never logged in, click the "Forgot my password" link on that page and enter "admin" as the username. That will send you a password reset email to the email address you have on file with us.

Had store converted to Bigcommerce but now I have the older ProStores interface/menus displaying when I sign in to the store.


Two weeks ago I worked with the Homestead help desk to set up my storefront to convert to Bigcommerce. The tech did the redirect. I could not complete the payment methods because Intuit could not provide me with Application Log In, AppID and Connection Ticket. They said check back. I had to go out of town and did not trust the privacy of the internet connection I had at the hotel to continue setting up payment methods. Today I sat down to complete the tasks and found that all I see when I sign in to my storefront is the old ProStores interface, help even gives me the old ProStores manuals.

Your help lines are closed right now. Thankfully my store traffic is seasonal and today is the first time I've had a customer have trouble. I need to get this resolved.

I too am frustrated with this.. I thought for sure I followed all the steps necessary to point to my domain name on BC only to discover that BC doesn't recognize my url.. also can't seem to get BC support to answer their phone or emails... I too came from Homestead so I don't have a support pin, which might help me get answers...:/

Would appreciate some assistance with this matter from BC support so I can start adding products to my store..

I thought we were supposed to get an email about a new password and login. I am still on the homestead website. I have never received an email about the change to bigcommerce other than it was going to happen. I did receive an email about the new email server and I am receiving my email there. What gives?
