How do I turn on or off the my email auto-responder?.

An old vacation notice is being sent to people who email me. I can't find where the auto responder is located in my homestead mail site, can you help me locate it? Once I know where the auto responder is, I shouldn't have a problem turning off the notice. Thanks. Chris.

If you are the admin for your Homestead account, you need to login to homestead.com and go to your email accounts and click the auto responder "off" for your email address or type your message in the box provide that you're out of the office. If you're not the admin then you need to ask them to turn it off or add the message for you

Thanks for the help. This seems like a ridiculous process as I wasted about 30 minutes scouring the open-xchange platform thinking I must be missing something and not looking hard enough. The user should be able to access this feature inside the email account itself as well. Is there some technical reason for it being set up that way?

Renee4687,   Sorry for your frustration.  One of the reasons it was set up that way was due to limitations on how data could be migrated from the old system.  Our email admins continue to work on some of these details but I don't have a date for when the feature may be unlocked within the OX application.  Meanwhile if you ever have any questions or problems feel free to post your questions here on the Community and we'll be happy to help you out.

Thanks. I tried it but never was sure it worked, since I tested it and didn't get the response that I was out of the office.

Open Exchange says that the Vacation Notice should be in the Configuration Settings of my Email - but it is not. So I guess we are using the old way of doing it, and not using Open Exchange for vacation notices?

Cathy,

Go to the place where you log in to email (after logging in to Homestead) - but don't log in.

Below you see something like "manage email account" - click that.

In there you will find your account listed - click the pencil icon beside it to edit your account and vacation settings are in there.

Good luck!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled how do you edit your email auto reply, I cannot find any link to do that.

When my auto reply goes out to customers, it has all kinds of amp language at the end of it and it should just be the response and consultants name.

Went through the new RoundCube and like it so far....... but after an exhaustive search, am unable to locate the autoreply setting/setup. Please get me heading in the right direction.

Thanks
Peter
