How do I reset my email password?

Here are instructions on how to reset the password of your domain associated email account.

  1. Click Email in the left navigation menu.

  2. Click Manage my email account.




  3. Click on the pencil icon next to the email address you would like to edit.




  4. Create a new password for your email address.


  5. Click Save.

I did not use this method because i was hoping each person could change their own address without admin intervention. Once you log into webmail, click on the gear icon at the top, expand the user option, and then click on password, the system makes it appear as though you can change your email password here, which would be ideal. Are you saying that this does not work and I will have to assist everyone when they want to change their email password?

Correct. This is the only method that will change the mailbox password.

Did you make sure your new password conforms to the requirements? It must have a number, at least 1 upper case letter and at least 1 lower case letter. If it does have those requirements, try adding a special character to the end, like an *

Thank you for having a solution for this problem. I was having the same issue and after reading the instructions I was able to access my emails. I had them forwarded to my email from the advance screen and I am getting emails just fine. Thanks again

What are you trying to log into? I see your account locked due to too many log in attempts. I have sent you a password reset for the Homestead account, if you need it. If it is email that you are having trouble with, try changing the new password a little bit.

the issue is i was locked out after the 1st attempt so in 15 min i tried again and immediately after 1 attempt was told i was locked out again,.this is not normal

TY for your assistance but i would like immed assistance w either a call or at least chat instead of this

the problem is when you reset your password, your site tells you it was successful when in fact it really was not and you try to log in you can. this is too not user friendly too time consuming and not worth the trouble

OK. Here is the problem. I can sign on with my user id and that password.
However, when I go to open the email address I use, which is associated with my Intuit website, which is MBense@streetsmartmkt.com and the correct password, I can not get to it.
I keep getting this message: LGI-0006 Categories=User_Input Message= 'Invalid Credentials.' Exception ID = 1578726264-3780698

And, this just started yesterday afternoon.

So my question is, what do I need to do now to get on my. MBense@streetsmartmkt.com email account?

I just changed the password again and logged in with new trouble. Please follow the instructions above again. Your new password must be 8-14 characters, and it must have at least 1 upper case and 1 lower case letter to be valid.

Then try to log in again.

How do you stop someone using your e mail ID to send out messages as though you are sending it out? Someone had sent such an e mail and it came to me because it bounced. I am copying it below here. Mine is raja@pestconsultant.com. The real sender is wa@denver.net from what I can see in the e mail. What concerns me is that they are trying something with paypal. Some of my mails to corporations get blocked by the spam system that identifies my ID as a spammer. Obviously because others use my e mail ID to spam. Help!

You'll log in with the actual email address that you are trying to view. If it doesn't let you in then do a password reset as shown in this thread.

Sorry for the problem with the email. Our email admins are preparing for some upgrades to the email system and the changes they made are requiring some users to reset their passwords.

Counterfeit email address problem.


email account (membership@scawilmington.org) is receiving thousands of messages "undeliverable" but no emails have been sent from this account. Some of the messages that are bouncing back have Chinese symbols next to the envelope. Prior to this event an email was sent from Apple which did not appear to be legitimate saying they needed verification of this address because it was suspected that it may be a counterfeit. We did not click the link but deleted the incoming message. Please stop this unfortunate event from happening. November 25, 2013 Thank you. Marilyn C.

Please run a full virus scan on your computer, (any computer you check your emal from, then log into your account on www.homestead.com and change your password to something more secure using upper and lower case letters as well as numbers and special characters.

You are getting those message because someone has hacked your account and using it to spam. Therefore you are receiving all the undeliverable messages.

Despite the promises of access to new email service as promised in the update emails, this has not been possible. The following code appears: LGI-0006 Categories=USER_INPUT Message='Invalid credentials.' exceptionID=1230744151-2196149 and then it sends me back to the same login page. I enter right through the web.

There was a problem with our Domain registrar yesterday that may have caused this. If you still can't log in today, reset the password. Let us know if you still have problems.

My main business account gives me the following error when I try to log in.

Explain to me how I am supposed to do business with this? This email is my MAIN form of communication with my clients and this is the 4th time in 2 months that my email has been horrible. First the spam filter blocked all of my client mail. Now I can't access anything and there is no HUMAN that I can actually speak to today. Is homestead prepared to pay for all of the lost business I am going to have because of this. Seriously considering a switch. This is ridiculous.

First, reset your password for the email as per the above instructions.

Second, when changing the password for the account sending the autoresponse, go to advanced options to turn it off. It can take up to 30 minutes to propagate the change.

I can not sign into my email account without getting some crazy message starting with "LGI 0006....invalid credentials;;;;;" for the last 4 days this has happened. In one day I get over 100 emails, I can't believe what will be waiting for me when I do get in. All because of this new crappy Open-Xchange program.

Sarah2471, go ahead and reset your password using the steps above. Then try to log into the email online using the Webmail link at the top of www.homestead.com

Then, if you can log in there ok, change the password in the Outlook program. Let us know if you run into problems. Did you already update your outlook program for our new email system? If not let us know which version of Outlook you are using, and we can give you instructions if you need them.
