I am compiling a directory of local service providers on my website. It is a list of resources in the community. Includes their name, service they provide, contact info (phone, email, url), and a little about them. What is an easy way to add new listings to my website? Going in and adding a new text box is time consuming to get formatted correctly, spaced correctly on the page, etc.

It would be great if the solution involves making the providers easily searchable, too!

Hi Sarah5434,

Unfortunately there isn't an easier way to update information since you have to manually update it each time you have a new entry.

The only other thing I can think of would be to add the info to a spreadsheet for example and re-upload it when you have new info - But this would be mean the info is not readily displayed on your site, it would be a link the visitor has to click to view it.

Making is searchable is not possible either because that would require the use of a database which is something our servers do not support.

Thank you,
Ehsan

Thanks for the quick reply, Ehsan.

I was worried it was going to come to a database :P

I tried the spreadsheet thing but it's hard to get that formatted to look nice within the site. Oh, well, someday computers will be advanced enough to simply DO what I imagine in my head! Thanks again

Hi Sarah5434,

You're more than welcome!

The only other workaround I can think of, if formatting is the main issue, would be to type the info out in Word for example and take a screenshot.

You can then add the screenshot image into sitebuilder (as an image) that will it will be displayed as an image and the formatting won't be affected.

Thanks!
Ehsan
