I sell downloadable products. I don't really understand how a customer purchases a downloadable product.

Here's what you need to know to understand how a customer purchases a downloadable product from your Storefront
  1. The customer locates the product in your store. If the product is only available by download, the attribute you assigned to the product appears in the entry for the product.

  2. The customer clicks Add To Cart and proceeds with the standard checkout process.

  3. The customer is prompted to create an account with your store; they can't check out anonymously as a guest.

  4. The customer clicks Download Product Files in the Order Confirmation screen, or clicks your Storefront Customer Service page.

  5. The customer signs in with the account they created.

  6. Customer reviews the Download List of all downloadable files they have purchased from your Storefront.

  7. Customer clicks the link in the File column of the Download List to download the file to their computer.

Hope that helps!
