Hey Drew -

I do not have 'low stock' or 'out of stock' e-mail notifications set in the store (or I should say 'I never set them up as our store does not warrant this notification. But today we received an Order and for the first time ever received an 'out of stock' notification. When I went into the store admin, I noticed it was set up with a personal e-mail I have not used anywhere in this store.

I checked system log and noticed there was an upgrade on June 24 (system log) but we have had orders since then (without receiving this 'out of stock' notice - so I am guessing that did not trigger the change and curious where/how that e-mail could have gotten there?

Hi Sally,  I'll check with BC to see if this was part of an upgrade or if there's another explanation. So is it correct that this is the first time you've seen the "out of stock" notification?

It looks like there was an update that most likely caused this.

We actually did have a fix deploy recently that addressed an issue with OOS notifications not being sent with low inventory was set to zero (which I see the client has a lot of). So it was probably just that the notifications had failed to send in the past because of the way those settings were created. As for the address itself, best guess is that the store was originally provisioned with some association to that email way back when and all remnants got wiped except for this setting, which went unnoticed until now (because of the zero setting)
